These are the 9 custom events that fire on my website.
1. 1 Minute Time on Page
2. 2 Minutes Time on Page
3. Scroll Depth 50%
4. 1 Minute AN D 50% Scroll
5. 2 Minutes AND 50% Scroll
6. Podcast Play (starting my embedded audio player)
7. Shared Post (using social share buttons)
8. Internal Link Clicks
9. Video Watched (YouTube embed)
I use these primarily for reporting in Ads Manager. I add these columns to add context to the results. But I've also used them for optimization and even targeting.
There are surely lots of ways to create these and other custom events. I created mine using Google Tag Manager.
