This is a sound test comparing the Blue Yeti Pro vs. the Shure MV7.
I've used Blue Yetis for the past 10 years. It was my first podcasting microphone. I've used the Blue Yeti Pro since 2017. But it felt like it was time to move on.
This comparison is based on the Shure MV7 straight out of the box. There is extra software and various settings that allow me to alter the sound of that mic more than what's available for the Blue Yeti Pro. So it's possible I need to make some more tweaks.
But overall, I was happy with the Blue Yeti Pro, and I'm happy with the Shure MV7. The one weakness of the Yeti was that it distorted at higher levels, and the MV7 seems to handle it better.
