How ChatGPT Helped During a Client Session

Here's an example of how I used ChatGPT recently to help a one-on-one client.

Prior to our session, I wanted to do a little preparation. I know he's been dealing with some challenges related to Shopify, the pixel, and the catalog lately, so I asked ChatGPT some questions.

First, I asked it a basic question about setting up events with Shopify. ChatGPT didn't do well on the first try.

So, I pushed. I provided clarification and asked again. I received a helpful response.

Then I asked about setting up the catalog for Shopify. Another helpful response.

Finally, during our session the client told me that he was having issues with the product ID not appearing in the catalog export. I entered these symptoms, and ChatGPT again returned three very helpful suggestions.

I keep saying it, but ChatGPT itself isn't magical. It's not always right and it's not always going to give you a great answer. To get the most out of it, you need to provide details, but you also need to train it to give you what you want. Tell ChatGPT when it's wrong and clarify what you're looking for when necessary.
