I've written more than 1,000 blog posts, driving more than 30 Million page views. Here's what I've learned.
I have a very simple process for blogging. It's not nearly the process that most people think it is.
Your blog post should solve a problem or answer a customer question. That's your title.
Write a brief explanation of the problem. This is your introduction.
Create a list of the steps involved in your solution. These are your sections.
Provide details to each step. Keep your paragraphs short. Add images where you can to provide clarity.
Wrap it up with a final section to provide info on who this is for, variations they should know about, and what to do next.
Finally, turn it over to the reader. What do they think? This is something I stole from Marcus Sheridan more than a decade ago. We're old.
That's my process for writing a blog post. It's not complicated. It still works. It often takes me under an hour from start to finish to write thorough, clear, detailed blog posts.
