You can include up to five links on your Instagram profile now. Is this really that big of a deal?
Previously, you could only include one. Now, if you edit your profile and click Links, you can include up to five external links.
Lots of people are talking about this, but is it really going to make a big difference?
First, how much traffic do creators typically drive from their profiles? I don't have a huge following, but I've estimated that my one link drives fewer than 50 clicks per month.
That's fine, but when you include more than one, it displays that link "plus X more." You have to click that even to see those other links. Will you really see much traffic from that?
It's fine, I guess. Could be great for those who love to say, "Click the link in my bio." But it just seems to me that there are far better ways to drive traffic with Instagram.
