Review spam on Facebook is an absolute mess.
I've had about 1,200 reviews on my Facebook page over the years. Initially, most of them were authentic. These days, I'd guess that I get 50 spam reviews for every legitimate one.
They all follow a similar template that should be easy to detect. They never mention anything about my page or business. They talk about someone else's sketchy business. And they always finish with a way to contact that business.
It's so obviously spam every time. Not a bad review. Spam. And it should be easy for Facebook to detect.
What's funny is that back in June of 2022, Facebook acknowledged this was a problem and claimed to be doing something about it. Instead, it only seems to be getting worse.
And as a page owner, there's very little that you can do. You can report a review, but you can't ban or delete it. Why? Because you can't ban or delete BAD reviews (which makes sense).
Anyone else have this issue? So annoying.
