Coaching kids baseball and understanding progress in business are strangely similar.
It's often difficult for a young player to understand that there are ups and downs in a season. They could be doing everything right but not see the results.
Or they might be improving incrementally, but that improvement isn't obvious or fast enough for them to see it as being related to their hard work.
It's the same with business. We get beat up with the ups and downs. Sometimes we can be doing everything right and we're not seeing the results yet. Or sometimes we're getting improvement, but we're not seeing or appreciating it.
Entrepreneurship is a long, hard journey. So much of the success is related to sticking to the process, keeping your head down, and pushing through when those results aren't obvious.
