Software to Edit Short-Form Videos

What video editing software should you use?

First, I think the question may be misguided. The software you use is far down the list of important factors that impact the success of your videos.

You need good content.

But there are also limitless ways to edit your video. There are many different ways to get to the same result.

Waiting on the right software is an excuse to hold you back from creating. Truthfully, you don't really need any software at all to create your videos. You can edit from within the app.

Sometimes, that's what I do. Usually, I use Screenflow.

1. I use my iPhone to capture talking head videos.

2. I use Screenflow to record my screen (when I need to) and capture my external mic.

3. And then I combine all of those files into Screenflow to edit it all up.

One of the reasons I do it this way is that I've used Screenflow for over 10 years now. I'm comfortable with it.

Should you use Screenflow? Not necessarily. Use what you're comfortable with. Find your process.
